The house

Maison Colette was originally an annex of (the no longer existing) castle in Aubusson. The house is around 500 years old and we have tried to keep the building in its original state as much as possible.
The house is suited for a maximum of 7 to 8 people and it consists of a living room with a door to the terrace and garden, a large kitchen-diner fitted with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven etc. and a large table. It also has three bedrooms and a bathroom.
N.B. We kindly request not to smoke in the house!!
The environment

The environment is very well suited for making daytrips ; e.g. the “Parc du Livradois” with many authentic villages. In the “Puy de Dôme you can visit the famous ‘sleeping vulcanos’. There you find also an informationcentre about the area.

If you like ‘curio`s’, you can, especially in the summerperiod, roam around to your heart`s content.
Every Sunday there is a big flea-market until 12.00 a.m. in Clermont-Ferrand.
About the environment, museums and tourist events the Tourist Information Board has a great deal of (free) information.

Every weekend you can go out in a former hotel called Maison des Arts. The owners will organize all kinds of activities like live music performances, workshops, etc. One of the owners is a former musician and has played in a band. Please see the website for more details

In the summer period there are a lot of Brocantes. Every sunday you will find a big flea market in Clermont-Ferrand. You can find all information about day trips and events at the tourist office.
